VIDEO: Media Beef?Oprah Winfrey, Wendy William and Gayle King

A week ago during Wendy Williams' Hot Topics segment, Wendy talked about the rumor circulating that Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King's friendship was on the rocks because Gayle was leaving Oprah's OWN Network for CBS (If you didn't catch Wendy, I told you about it Click Here

A few days later Wendy read a letter to her audience that she said came from Oprah personally, denying the rumors.
Well, Gayle put Wendy on blast when she announced on her radio show that Oprah didn't write the letter and doesn't know anything about it...

The letter Wendy read went like this

“I know there’s been some speculation that Gayle and Oprah had a falling out because Gayle will be hosting the new morning show on CBS. I wanted to make sure everyone knows that there is only happiness for Gayle and this wonderful opportunity.

Love,

Oprah.

P.S. Stay black!"

Gayle went HAM lol to her  listening audience,

"The letter that I heard Wendy read - I didn't see it - I know Oprah never wrote a letter to Wendy. I said [to Oprah] 'I'm getting all these messages that you wrote a letter to Wendy,' and she goes, 'Gayle, you know more than anybody knows that that's not true,' number one. Number two, when Wendy was saying, 'You know, I think it's gonna put a dent in their friendship?' When this opportunity was presented to me - and make no mistake; it is an opportunity - the first people I talked to were Oprah, my son and my daughter. And I said, 'I don't know; I don't know. They approached me, but I don't even know if I should entertain it,' … [Oprah] said, 'Are you kidding? This is so what you do, the news is what you love … you would be crazy to pass it up!'"

Well, Wendy called into The Tom Joyner Morning Show and she's standing by her letter...

Wendy readily admits the letter didn't actually come from Oprah, and said as much on her show, but she insists it did come from someone on Oprah's staff.

Wendy told Tom that a woman named Chelsea Hettrick sent her the letter, twice.

"I have no reason to lie about this," Wendy said. "When correspondence goes out on my show, especially pertaining to something like if somebody says I said something or whatever, my name is on the outside of this building, and my name is on the marquee. I know what goes on here! You could not imagine that this woman just sent the letter out on her own accord.”
When Tom asked Wendy if she had anything to say to Gayle for calling her out, Wendy responded with a classic, "How YoooU doing?" followed with, "There's nothing left to say."
