After only 9 weeks, Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III hits the double platinum target this week while sitting at the top spot of Billboard's 'Top Rap Albums Chart'.

Tha Carter III passed the 2,000,000 sales mark by pushing 78,700 discs this week. The album's tally stands at 2,075,900.

Nas stays put at No. 2. Untitled shifted 41,000 units this week, pushing the album's total sales to 291,300.

Posted at No. 3 is Florida rapper Plies. Definition Of Real scanned 15,600 copies in its eighth week on the charts. So far, the album has sold a total of 433,500 discs.

David Banner slips down to No. 4. The Greatest Story Ever Told reels in 15,200 units this week, bringing the album's total sales to 88,300.

Right behind him is Memphis rap duo Three 6 Mafia at No. 5. Last 2 Walk scanned 13,700 units this week. To date, the album has sold 184,500.
